Not-so Xtreme Farm Make-over

For a lot of reasons, we are moving our horses home!

If you saw the Luther’s on the recent Extreme Make-over: Home Edition, you know what a big part therapeutic riding plays in the lives of persons with special needs.

Pretty Pony Pastures has been offering therapeutic riding in Davisburg for the past five years.  This year, for the first time, we are asking for community support of our program.

We need to bring our horses home.  That means we need to fence our property and build a stall barn to house them.  We have already secured a contract with Morton Buildings to build the barn.  What we need now is help with all the other elements of this endeavor.  Work dates will be set within the month; they will probably be Saturdays in late April or early May.

We are in need of:

·         Workers to:

  • Put up the fencing.  We will rent, if necessary, the post hole driver that attaches to a tractor, but, if you, or someone you now has one and is willing to share, that would be a bonus

  • Build up stalls

  • Move rubber mats and other items from our current barn

  • Electrician to install the wiring and lights.

  • Go-fors to keep the workers fed and watered or get supplies as needed and brought to them so the projects keep moving.

We are also offering perpetual advertising to any business who would like to support us with a gift.  Your business name and address, along with a link to your Web site, will appear on the community support page BOTH on our Web site and on the bulletin board in our barn.

Consider one of these levels:

  Platinum horseshoe – over $1,000

Gold horseshoe - $500 - $999

Silver horseshoe - $100 - $499

Bronze horseshoe – under $100

Your gift of any amount would be graciously appreciated by everyone involved with Pretty Pony Pastures – Therapeutic Riding Program.
